さてさて、ひよ助がお世話になっているオンライン英語では現在子ども達が1人先生となって30分英語で調べたことを発表することをしています。

10月から始まったこの取り組み、
10月はHalloween
11月はThanks giving day
12月はXmas
1月はお正月
2月はValentine's day
について子ども達が調べて先生役として誰か一回、発表していきます。

ハロウィンについて調べました🎃
今回、調べるにあたって約束したことは単語の翻訳は使ってもいいが、文章全体を翻訳しないこと。
サイトからのコピペ禁止
です。
インターネットで検索すれば簡単にサイトにヒットしてしまう時代
調べ作業は楽をしようと思ったらどこまでも楽ができてしまうので
自分で考えてまとめることを挑戦してもらいました。

What kind of festival is
Halloween in the first place? Let's take a look at its origin and original meaning.
Halloween originated more than 2000 years ago. It is said that it originated from the ancient
Celtic festival "Samhain" that lived in present-day Ireland and other places. Samhain means "the end of summer" and was rooted in the life of the ancient Celtics as a religious event to celebrate the autumn harvest and drive away evil spirits.
In the calendar of
Celtic,October thirty first was the year’s final day, and the barrier between this world and the afterlife weakens. And it was also believed that the souls of the dead would return to their families.
It is believe that the evil spirits will come with the souls of the dead, and it is said that they protected themselves by make a fire and wearing masks so that the evil spirits would not notice that they were human. This custom became the origin of costume, a typical custom of
Halloween.
Long ago, people had their own traditional religions.
Later, these beliefs were combined with Christianity.
People began to celebrate a festival on the night before All Saints’ Day, a day to pray to Christian saints.
The word “Hallow” means “saint.”So, All Saints’ Day can also be called “All Hallows.”
The night before November 1st,
All Hallows, is October 31st.
It was first called
“All Hallow’s Even (Eve),” and later, this name became shorter and changed into
“Halloween.”In Christianity, the period from October 31st to November 2nd is the time to remember and comfort the souls of the dead who are believed to return to this world.

単語や文法の誤りなどはそのままになっております。
また、スライドで資料もそれぞれ項目ごとに用意しました。
発表自体は20分ほど、その後質疑応答も入れて25分ほど1人で先生役をやりきりました。
この先生役は毎年やっていて、去年は世界の偉人について1人選んで発表しました。
昨年ひよ助は
ナポレオン・ボナパルトについて発表しましたが、文章こそ1人で作っていたものの、発表の構成やスライドの使い方などかなり私と二人三脚で用意。
結構大変な課題でした。
今年は内容の相談はされましたがほとんど最初から最後まで1人で作り終え、発表していたのでかなり成長を感じました。
日頃の勉強の合間に準備していたので、遊ぶ時間を削って取り組んでいましたが
大人が聞いても上手にまとめていたのではないかと思います
（親バカですみません笑）
グループのお友達からの反応も上々で
先生からはお褒めの言葉もいただけて
嬉しそうにしていました。
いい経験をさせてもらえてありがたい限りです。
